Job Title: Sales Associate/Counter Staff

Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-oriented Sales Associate/Counter Staff to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional customer service, driving sales, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. As a Sales Associate/Counter Staff, you will be responsible for running the register, managing inventory, merchandising products, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.
Responsibilities:
• Provide outstanding customer service by assisting customers with inquiries, product selection, and purchases.
• Operate cash register and process transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain knowledge of current sales promotions, policies, and product information.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels, restocking shelves as needed.
• Ensure store cleanliness and organization, including dusting, sweeping, cleaning bathrooms and restocking supplies.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a cohesive work environment.
• Utilize technical skills to operate point-of-sale systems and other retail technology effectively.
• Demonstrate initiative and creativity in driving additional sales through upselling and cross-selling techniques.
• Exhibit strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
• Display a high level of professionalism and integrity in all interactions.
Requirements:
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Technically savvy with proficiency in operating cash registers and other retail technology.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
• Self-starter with a proactive approach to tasks and problem-solving.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to think creatively and outside the box to drive additional sales.
• Knowledge of architectural elements, antiques, or furniture is a plus.
• Graphic Design skills are a plus.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as going up and down a ladder.
• Ability to stand and be on your feet for most of your shift.
