Salvage Dawgs Now Casting

Black Dog Salvage is currently seeking residential and commercial architectural salvage projects in the Mid-Atlantic region to feature in their documentary style TV series, Salvage Dawgs.

Black Dog Salvage specializes in selectively salvaging structures prior to demolition or major renovations, saving valuable architectural details from the landfill. If you own a property that you would like to be considered, please send an email to:

Submissions must include (and will not be considered without):

  • Digital photos (30KB max per file PLEASE) of the INTERIOR and EXTERIOR
  • Description of select items in structure – age/history if available
  • Location
  • Schedule for demolition / renovation project
  • Confirmation that you are the Owner and decision maker for this property

What we look for: old house parts that can be reused, vintage plumbing, cool and unusual pieces from the past.

There is nothing too weird to salvage.

Individual Items

Got Salvage?Do you purchase individual items?

Yes. Due to overhead and the time it takes to sell an item, we often explain that we buy at 'yard sale prices'. The best and quickest way to determine if we will purchase an item is to send an email with as much information as you can provide: photos PLEASE resize so they are small files, description, asking price, location, time frame.  You may also want to try listing your item on your local or Ebay.

Do you take items on consignment?

Occasionally.  We prefer to buy outright but on rare occasions, if we can’t afford to purchase directly and we think there is a market for the item, we will consign it for a 50/50 fee.

What is my item worth?

We are true believers that something is only worth what someone will pay for it.  We do not offer appraisal services but have friends who do:
