The creation of an original piece of furniture is an intimate and personal experience. We feel it is equally important for you to understand the process. This process is very exciting as we help guide you through from start to finish. This free flow of ideas is essential to the evolution of the design.
This is where we meet and discuss some of the things that you have seen in our store and/or online. Or, this may be where you have watched the show and understand our capabilities and you give us a call or email with the suggestion of what you are looking for in a custom build. This is where we get to know you.
The nature of the consultation will depend on your location. (via email/phone conversation, or in person, etc.) During this process, we will discuss what is important to you in terms of personal design, finish, and the type of room where your authentic custom furniture will be placed. During the consultation, we will also discuss the parameters of your budget. Once we have an understanding of what you are looking for, and based on the information you provide, we will then present you with an estimated range of price. If this is acceptable, and the design fee has been received, we will then move on to the Design Stage.
Because of the time and investment required during the Design Stage, we do require a non-refundable 10 percent design fee of the estimated price before moving into the Design Stage. When the design is completed this design fee will be deducted from the 50% deposit required for production.
After the Consultation and Design Fee has been addressed, to help with the design direction, we may ask that you send us inspiration pictures of what you are looking for. This will be beneficial. Either way, our In-House Design Team will sketch the design based on the dimensions and style information that are provided. We will then share with you the sketches and we will talk through the process of tweaking and/or approval of the design. Once the final sketch has been signed off by you, we use this to produce your authentic custom piece.
Once the final sketch has been signed off and approved, within 2 business days, we will provide you with the final price; at this point we do require a 50% deposit. The product contract will be sent to you for your acknowledgement and approval of the design and terms.
With all designs finalized and deposits received, we are now in the process of producing your very own authentic piece of furniture. We will be updating you as soon as we get close to completion.
